Silcapor is the only factory in the region for the production of thermal insulation blocks. Investments for the construction of this factory began in 1983 and ended in 1988 when production began. The factory is located in the village of Doganaj in the Municipality of Kacaniku.

SILCAPOR is a construction material production technology of the cellular concrete-porous concrete group. Porozbeton is of inorganic mineral origin, specifically a lightweight construction material, which is produced industrially, with a specific brand of cellular concrete, volumetric mass different, easy and fast manipulation in construction.

During the privatization process in Kosovo N.T.P. "Unio Commerce" from Hani i Elezit has privatized this factory and since the end of April 2005 this factory has been operating as a private company.

The structure of porous concrete is determined by the pores formed in the mass, as an important factor in influencing physical properties such as:
